Both tackles inactive for Browns; Greg Newsome II, Denzel Ward return against Cardinals

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – As expected, the Browns are without both of their offensive tackles for Sunday’s game with the Arizona Cardinals, but their secondary is healthier.

Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and right tackle Jack Conklin, who are dealing with ankle and knee injuries respectively, are inactive.

Cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome II are active and expected to start.

Blake Hance will start at left tackle for Wills and rookie James Hudson III for Conklin at right tackle.

Running back Nick Chubb was ruled out Friday due to a calf injury and Kareem Hunt will start in his place. D’Ernest Johnson will serve as the No. 2 running back.

Also inactive for Cleveland Sunday: cornerback A.J. Green, linebacker Malcolm Smith as well as defensive tackles Tommy Togiai and Andrew Billings.

Safety John Johnson III will be the game captain this week.
