CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns cornerback Denzel Ward is expected to miss time after an MRI revealed a calf strain suffered against the Eagles.
Ward leads the NFL in passes defensed with 15 this season and was in the midst of another Pro Bowl campaign.
The corner from Ohio State posted on his Instagram Tuesday morning.
NFL Network's Mike Garafolo first reported that Ward will "miss a few weeks" with the injury.
A league source indicated to 92.3 The Fan that there is no specific timetable for Ward's return just yet.
In Sunday's 22-17 win over the Eagles, Ward broke up three passes, intercepted another and delivered a quarterback hit that led to Sione Takitaki's 50-yard pick-6.
Browns right guard Wyatt Teller missed three games with a calf strain earlier this season.
The Browns defense, which forced three turnovers against the Eagles, are already without star defensive end Myles Garrett who remains on the reserve COVID-19 list and has been ruled out for this week's game at Jacksonville.
