
CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns starting cornerback Denzel Ward is active and expected to start against the Washington Football Team Sunday.
Ward was listed as questionable after suffering a groin injury during Thursday’s practice.
Cornerback Greedy Williams along with defensive end Olivier Vernon will not play. Both players were ruled out on Friday along with linebacker Jacob Phillips.
Linebacker Mack Wilson and cornerback Kevin Johnson, who missed the first two games due to injury, return. Malcolm Smith is listed as the Brows starter in front of Wilson.
Veteran Terrance Mitchell will continue to start in place of Williams.
Receivers Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and guard Evan Brown are the other two inactive players for Cleveland.
