Celebrating a sack of Russell Wilson with a little over 3 minutes left in a game you’re going to lose and treating a Week 12 win against the Steelers in Cleveland is what the Browns and their fans only have to celebrate.
With another loss to bring them to 3-10 on the season, any far-flung chance of the Browns making the playoffs ended.
Late in Sunday’s game, Myles Garrett sacked Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson and actually took time to celebrate. Even though a loss was inevitable for the Browns, Garrett basked in a small moment of glory, recording his 11th sack of the season.
Steeler Nation also let the Browns know how they felt about them, chanting during the game, “Cleveland sucks.”
That didn’t sit too well with Garrett and another member of the Browns family.
"We'll see them again next year," Garrett said after the game in response to chants. "The result is they have the same energy when we come into their house next year."
Cleveland offensive lineman Wyatt Teller’s wife took to social media after the game saying Steelers fan “were so blatantly disrespectful to me and the Browns girls. I’ve never felt so attacked by people who I literally did nothing to. Very sad/embarrassing behavior.”
Teller said on Monday that as long as it doesn’t get physical or lewd, the rivalry is what it is.
“You gotta understand when you’re in a hostile environment like that, what you’re going to get,” said Teller.
