Hugs with Roger Goodell to return, NFL to allow up to 50,000 per day to attend Draft Experience

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The hugs are back, and more fans will be able to enjoy the NFL Draft festivities next week.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who has been fully vaccinated, will be able to resume hugging prospects after their name is called on stage, which had become a tradition during the opening round of the NFL Draft.

More fans will also be able to attend the NFL Draft Experience after the league released additional tickets on Friday.

Up to 50,000 fans will be allowed per day to attend the football theme park that will surround and include FirstEnergy Stadium the league said.

Free tickets to include up to two adults and up to five minors for the NFL Draft Experience are available exclusively through the NFL OnePass app.

The league announced that 13 prospects have accepted invitations to attend the Draft in Cleveland while 45 others will participate remotely.

Five members of Alabama’s national championship team will be on hand: Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, quarterback Mac Jones, defensive lineman Christian Barmore, cornerback Patrick Surtain II, and receiver Jaylen Waddle.

BYU quarterback Zach Wilson and North Dakota State QB Trey Lance; LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase; Miami edge rusher Gregory Rousseau; Northwestern tackle Rashawn Slater; Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley, Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons; and Florida tight end Kyle Pitts also accepted invitations to be in the socially distanced green room.
