Kings of Leon concert to headline night 1 of NFL Draft festivities in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Kings of Leon will help kick off the 2021 NFL Draft in Cleveland with a special concert the league announced.

The band, which are well known Oklahoma football and Baker Mayfield fans, are part of the opening night festivities scheduled for April 29.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ann Wilson of Heart will perform the national anthem and the All-City choir from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District will perform Lift Every Voice and Sing.

The plaza in front of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host the red carpet for the 2021 draft prospects.

The Sunrise Jones, a local Cleveland cover band, will serve as the house band and will provide entertainment in between selections on Thursday, April 29 and Friday, April 30.

Concerts for the remaining two days of the draft will be announced at a later date the league said.

The NFL Draft will take place in the draft theatre, currently under construction, just north of FirstEnergy Stadium and be televised by ESPN, ABC and NFL Network.
