BEREA, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns Pro Bowl defensive end Myles Garrett and cornerback Denzel Ward are both banged up and were held out of Tuesday’s practice as a result.
Garrett has a hamstring injury according to head coach Kevin Stefanski while Ward is dealing with “some soreness” and was rested as a precaution.
Stefanski made the announcement prior to practice.
Garrett is day-to-day and his playing status for Saturday’s preseason opener at Jacksonville will be determined later this week.
Linebacker Antony Walker returned to practice Tuesday a week after suffering a knee injury.
The Browns were able to breathe a sigh of relief when they learned that Walker would not require surgery and miss significant time.
Walker, who will handle defensive calls this season, was limited to individual drills.
