CLEVELAND, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The NFL suspended Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. five games for violating the personal conduct policy the league announced Tuesday.

Hall, who has been on the commissioner’s exempt list since August 27, receives credit for four games already served. The suspension is without pay and Hall will have to remit the pay he received for those four games to the league office.

Hall is eligible for reinstatement October 7.

Hall pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of disturbing the peace in Avon Lake Municipal Court on September 19.

Hall was originally charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic violence stemming from an incident at his Avon home on August 12 in which he was accused by a woman of pushing and striking her daughter, Hall’s fiancé, as well as choking her, pushing her head through a wall and dragging her.

A police report describing the alleged incident also accused Hall of pointing a gun at and threatening to kill his fiancé.

Hall received a suspended 30-day jail sentence provided he completes two years of monitored time and was also ordered to pay a $250 fine and $127 in court costs.
