CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was a full participant in practice Friday and is expected to play Sunday at Dallas while running back Kareem Hunt is listed as questionable.
Beckham was added to the team’s injury report Thursday with a back injury that head coach Kevin Stefanski downplayed Friday and said that the receiver “is good to go.”
Hunt is dealing with a groin injury and was limited Friday after not practicing Wednesday and Thursday.
“He looked pretty good,” Stefanski said. “He's working through it. We've got to be mindful of what he can do. We'll see over the next couple hours, how he responds.”
Beckham leads the Browns with 155 receiving yards and a score while Hunt has totaled 204 yards rushing and a touchdown to go with eight catches for 42 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Williams still sidelined – Cornerback Greedy Williams remains sidelined with that shoulder injury suffered Aug. 24 and he will miss his fourth straight game to start the season.
Stefanski said Williams is “trying like crazy to get out there.”
On Twitter Friday afternoon Williams responded to a fan, “slow healing process all I can tell you.”
Numbers game – Rashard Higgins has been inactive for all three games this season leaving some fans scratching their heads as to why.
Receivers coach and passing game coordinator Chad O’Shea explained why Friday.
“Rashard Higgins has been outstanding in all areas,” O’Shea said. “He has worked extremely hard. He is playing in multiple positions for us on the practice field. He has been very professional in everything that he has done with us. I enjoy coaching him. I enjoy having him in the room with us. I know that the other players, whether it is the receiver position or other positions, have respect for him. I certainly think that he has done a lot of great things.
“Unfortunately because of some of the issues you have on a gameday roster and so many people being active or inactive, there are always decisions to make and what is best for the team.”
Baker mic’d up – The Browns posted 2:30 of pure Baker Mayfield gold from Sunday’s win over Washington in which the quarterback was mic’d up for.
