CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. underwent successful surgery on his left knee to repair his torn ACL Tuesday.
The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Florida.
Beckham is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the 2021 season the team said Tuesday.
The three-time Pro Bowl receiver posted a picture from his hospital room on his Instagram account after the procedure.
Beckham suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Browns' 37-34 victory at Cincinnati on Oct. 25 while trying to chase down Bengals cornerback Darius Phillips, who had just intercepted a Baker Mayfield pass which was intended for Beckham.
Beckham finished the year with 23 catches for 319 yards and three touchdowns while adding 72 yards and a TD on the ground.
Last year, his first with the Browns after they acquired him from the Giants in a March 2019 trade, Beckham played through a core muscle injury that he had surgery to repair in February.
Beckham made the Pro Bowl in his first three seasons, but injuries have derailed what was once projected to become a Hall of Fame career. The 2014 No. 12 overall pick by the Giants was limited to four games in 2017 with a broken ankle and 12 games in 2018 due to a bruised quadriceps.
