CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) -- The Browns officially placed tight end David Njoku on the Reserve COVID-19 list Monday afternoon, putting his status for Sunday’s matchup with the Ravens in jeopardy.
Heading into week 14, Njoku leads the team in receiving yards with 407 on 27 catches with three touchdowns.
The Browns are 6-6 and last in the AFC North but sit just two-games back of the Ravens.
The receiving corps is already depleted, particularly the tight end group with Harrison Bryant placed on Injured Reserve while he recovers from a high-ankle sprain.
As a result, the Browns signed tight end Miller Forristall to the active roster from the practice squad and inked Ross Travis to the practice swuad.
Forristall is an undrafted rookie who spent the first week of the season on the Titans’ practice squad before joining the Browns’ practice squad in September. He was inactive for the Browns’ Week 9 game
Travis is in his fourth NFL season and was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Kansas City in 2015.
The Browns also activated long snapper Charley Hughlett from the Reserve COVID-19 list.
