Sal Paolantonio: Figure out how to put your quarterback in better position to succeed

Listen to the podcast below

On Thursday morning, Sal Paolantonio of ESPN joined The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima to discuss how Kevin Stefanski and the coaching staff needs to do a better job of protecting Baker Mayfield. What went wrong this season? How Baker can do better? If the Browns switched QBs, which guy is the best option? Paolantonio touched on it all during the 15-minute conversation.

"The basic question is can the team go on with Baker Mayfield," he said. "And I don't know if that's a question you're going to ask me, but I'll answer it. I think the answer to it is yes. I still think that Baker Mayfield has the ability to be a high-functioning NFL quarterback. He's proven that, I think he needs to get healthy. We want to see how he comes back from the shoulder surgery. And I think he needs to have better coaching around him. I think there's a lot of people to blame for what's gone wrong in Cleveland this year. First and foremost, circumstances, injury. And then, what has happened to Kevin Stefanski and that coaching staff."
