Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, Vikings hire Ryan Grigson away from Browns

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns senior football advisor Ryan Grigson has been hired by the Minnesota Vikings to a senior personnel position within their front office.

Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah made the announcement Wednesday.

“I am thrilled to add Ryan Grigson to our staff,” Adofo-Mensah said. “During my time in Cleveland, I was immediately drawn to Ryan's passion for the game, big heart, and reflective wisdom. He is a talented evaluator who brings energy and humor to every discussion. As a former general manager in the NFL, Ryan offers complementary skills to help me in my transition in becoming general manager and brings energy and humor to the room.”

With Cleveland, Grigson had worked closely with Adofo-Mensah and Browns executive vice president of football operations and general manager Andrew Berry, collaborating on roster and the football decision-making process.

Adofo-Mensah was hired by the Vikings on January 26 after he spent two years as the Browns vice president of football operations.

Grigson, who was the former general manager of the Indianapolis Colts from 2012-2016, spent two stints in Cleveland – 2017 as a senior personnel executive and 2020-2021 as a senior football advisor.
