Cavaliers wing Isaac Okoro out for 2-3 weeks with elbow injury

Okoro, 20, left Sunday's matchup with the Pacers in the second quarter.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been dealing with injuries and Health & Safety protocols for the last few weeks, with players going in and out of protocols, as well as the loss of guard Ricky Rubio for the rest of the 2021-22 season.

One player who just came back from protocols that will miss more time is Cavaliers wing Isaac Okoro.

The second-year wing from Auburn injured his elbow in the second quarter against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. The team announced in a press release that Okoro will miss approximately two to three weeks. In that time, he will undergo treatment on his elbow as well as rehabilitation.

Prior to landing in the NBA's Health and Safety protocols, Okoro had averaged 18.5 points per game on 70% shooting, including 59% from three, in his previous four games.
