Evan Mobley out for Bucks game after entering protocols

Cavaliers rookie phenom Evan Mobley was ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bucks in Milwaukee after entering the NBA's health and safety protocols, the team announced.

It was unclear whether Mobley, the third overall pick in this year's draft, had returned a positive test or if he was determined to be a close contact of someone else who had. Cavaliers teammate Isaac Okoro entered protocols on Thursday.

Mobley, 20, has looked like a Rookie of the Year candidate through the first 25 games of his career, averaging 13.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.7 combined blocks and steals in 33.6 minutes per contest. The USC product previously missed four games in late November due to a right elbow injury.

Reserve big man Kevin Love was a candidate to see an uptick in workload in Mobley's absence.
