Jason Lloyd: Did the Cavs overpay for Strus? Probably, but that is necessary with Cleveland teams.

You don't have to be elite defensively, you cannot win the playoffs with all defense and no shooting.

Jason Lloyd of The Athletic joined Ken Carman and Anthony Lima this morning; discussing Cavs trades, overall picks and mistakes. Max Strus could very well be a bust as a product of Miami, but many think he will give the Cavs what they need. Did they overpay a little bit? Most likely, but that is necessary with Cleveland teams. Even going so far as asking if Darius Garland is worth the richest contract in Cleveland history. The one thing the Cavs will be able to do now that they couldn't do last year is put their heads up-front and surround them with shooters, which is exactly what they need. Strus will allow them to open the floor and be able to play a more offensive-style of basketball.
