CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr. underwent successful surgery to repair a broken bone in his left hand Monday.
Nance tweeted about the procedure following surgery.
Nance is expected to miss up to six weeks after suffering a fracture in his left fourth metacarpal during a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday night.
“It is disappointing, and more so again, for Larry,” head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Monday afternoon. “It’s part of it. What we have to do is just figure out what we have in front of us and how we can best work with what we have.
“In this league, the teams that are the best teams are the teams that are the most consistent and injuries have kind of rocked us a little bit from that standpoint, but I still feel like the guys continue to compete and give u what they have.”
Cleveland, which has lost five of their last six, begins a five-game west coast trip Monday night at Phoenix.
