In a matchup featuring two of the top five picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, the Cavaliers and Evan Mobley got the better of Jalen Suggs and the Orlando Magic with a 94-84 win in the Vegas Summer League on Wednesday.
The #3 pick out of USC tallied 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists as Mobley was able to showcase his many talents in a well-rounded effort. Isaac Okoro meantime looks to build on the late season surge from his rookie year as the 2nd year pro led the Wine and Gold with 15 points. Former Xavier Muskateer Trevon Bluiett chipped in 14 off the bench for the Cavs who got their first win in Sin City.
Suggs, the #5 pick in the '21 draft, led the Magic with 16 points while DJ Hogg had 15 for Orlando's second unit.
The Wine and Gold have Thursday off before Vegas Summer League action ramps back up on Friday with a meeting against the New Orleans Pelicans, tipoff set for 6 pm from The Thomas and Mack Center.
