The Guardians will have three representatives in the Midsummer Classic.

Star third baseman Jose Ramirez, closer Emmanuel Clase and second baseman Andres Gimenez were named All-Stars on Sunday. It marks the fourth such honor for Ramirez in his career, as he also made it in 2017, 2018 and 2021. This marks the first such honor for the 24-year-old Clase and the 23-year-old Gimenez.
Ramirez, 29, was recently edged out by Red Sox star Rafael Devers for the American League starting nod at third base in the fan voting that determined the position player starters at each position. Even so, he’s having a monster season. Ramirez was hitting .291 with 17 homers, an AL-best 66 RBIs and a .958 OPS in 79 games entering play Sunday.
Clase is having a dominant season, posting a 1.53 ERA and 0.82 WHIP in 37 appearances entering play Sunday. He also had 19 saves, which led the AL.
Gimenez is hitting .300 with nine homers, 40 RBIs and an .836 OPS in 71 games entering play Sunday.
The All-Star Game will be held at Dodger Stadium on July 19.
