Guardians star Jose Ramirez has missed out on being voted a starter in the All-Star Game.
The Red Sox’s Rafael Devers garnered 60% of the vote in the head-to-head matchup against Ramirez to grab the starting nod at third base for the American League.
Ramirez is a lock to be named one of the All-Star reserves, which will be announced Sunday evening. He’s hitting .285 with 16 homers, 63 RBIs and a .940 OPS in 77 games. Ramirez previously earned All-Star honors in 2017, 2018 and 2021.
Devers is hitting .330 with 19 homers, 51 RBIs and a .986 OPS in 79 games.
The All-Star Game will be held July 19 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
