CLEVELAND, Ohio – Trevor Bauer is looking more and more like his normal self after struggling in the month of May. Bauer allowed one run and three hits in 6⅔ innings and the Indians beat the Royals 5-3.
He didn’t allow a hit until the fifth inning, finishing with a season-high 12 strikeouts. It was his fourth double-digit strikeout game of the season and the 23rd of his career. His ERA fell to 3.55.

Jake Bauers hit his 10th home run of the season in the fourth inning. It snapped a 0-for-15 streak and gave the Indians a 3-0 lead. Tyler Naquin also went deep for the Tribe.

— #VoteLos (@Indians) June 26, 2019Nick Goody pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings out of the bullpen allowing two hits. Nick Wittgren allowed two runs and two hits in the ninth. He worked out of the jam by striking out Billy Hamilton and Whit Merrifield to end the game.
The Indians improve to 44-36 on the season.
Health Update – Corey Kluber will have his right arm scanned on Thursday. If all goes well, the two-time Cy Young Award winner could throw for the first time since breaking the ulna bone in his right forearm on May 1.
‘Vote Los’ – Carlos Santana is one of three finalists with a chance to start at first base for the American League in the All-Star Game on July 9. The polls opened on Wednesday at Noon. Fans can vote until Thursday at 4 p.m. C.J. Cron of the Twins and Luke Voit of the Yankees are also finalists. The All-Star Game is July 9 at Progressive Field.
