The Dallas Cowboys season is over after an disastrous 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Playoff round at AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

And from the beginning, it was an unmitigated disaster for Dallas.

On the opening drive of the game, the Packers took quick control, marching down the field for a score and taking a 7-0 lead on an Aaron Jones rushing touchdown.

And then, before the Cowboys knew it, it was a four score game thanks to a second Jones touchdown, a passing TD from Jordan Love, and a pick six from Darnell Savage.

Dallas stopped the bleeding on their final drive of the second half, scoring as time expired, followed by a field goal on their opening possession of the third quarter.

Green Bay then added another Jones touchdown - his third of the game - taking a commanding 34-10 lead.

And while Dallas was able to add another touchdown to cut into the lead, the Packers answered right back, with a broken coverage by the Cowboys leading to an easy Luke Musgrave touchdown catch from Love, putting the Packers up 41-16, and putting the icing on the cake.

The Packers would go on to add another statement score on a love touchdown pass, making it 48-16, and sending the Cowboys packing.

Dallas did get two morer scores in garbage time, making the score 48-32. But by then it was far too-little-too-late.

With the loss, the Cowboys season ends in a disappointing, albeit all-to-familiar way, as they have now gone 29 years without reaching an NFC title game, and have lost three-straight playoff games to the Packers.
