McKees Rocks native, Pitt standout and Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin went through a cardiac arrest during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals during the regular season.
He was given CPR, his heart restarted and he spent over a week in the hospital.
Since, he has been able to return home to continue recuperating there.
Hamlin’s story is one of inspiration and hope but not to a small but loud group of people that believe he actually died that night and has been replaced with a clone.
During the Bills losing effort in the Divisional Round, Hamlin was in attendance but he was wearing sunglasses and a big coat with the hood up. That prompted some people to say it wasn’t really him.
With Hamlin being honored a few times during Super Bowl week and the game itself, more “evidence” is being presented.
One person is unable to get over the fact that Hamlin got a new tattoo on his hand.
What’s easier to believe? Hamlin got a tattoo a day or two after he was photographed without one, or the NFL, medical officials in both Cincinnati and Buffalo, both the Bengals and Bills organizations, Hamlin’s family and friends and everyone else he knows is covering it up and there just happens to also be a clone that looks like Hamlin except for that darn tattoo.
"First, I would like to just thank God for even being here," Hamlin said while he and the first responders that saved his life were being honored at the Super Bowl."But God's plan was to have a purpose greater than any game in this world."
If that nonsense isn’t bad enough, Hamlin is also getting slammed for a jacket he wore.
Former NFL running back Adrian Petersen claimed that Hamlin was wearing a blasphemous jacket.
The jacket is by designer Takashi Murakami and image on the jacket is called “Travis Jesus”.
"You should be thanking God son! This is Blasphemy!! We all fall short but cmon man! I find this disrespectful!! #grateful #goddid,” Petersen said.
Hamlin was also attacked from a far-right conspiracy theorist who called the jacket “satanic” and that it was the Hamlin clone who was wearing the jacket.
Hamlin has been thanking and talking about God and his plan for him since he’s been able to communicate since his cardiac arrest.
