The Divisional Round of these NFL playoffs is finally upon us with some huge matchups going down this weekend.

The Chiefs are chasing a three-peat and have Taylor Swift cheering on Travis Kelce, but I’m backing the Texans to cover +8.5 (-110, BetMGM). Kansas City will likely “Shake It Off” and get the win, but Houston has been anything but “Delicate.” Fresh off their domination of the Vikings, where they made Sam Darnold’s life a “Cruel Summer,” (really a cruel winter, but I had to use the T-Swift song title) the Texans are playing with grit and confidence. While Patrick Mahomes remains the “King of My Heart” in the postseason, asking the Chiefs to win by nine or more feels like “You’re On Your Own, Kid” territory. Prediction: Chiefs 24, Texans 20. Kansas City advances, but Houston covers and leaves Chiefs bettors saying, “I Knew You Were Trouble.”
Looks like Lucy and I are on opposite sides of this one!
Lucy Burdge: Chiefs -8.5 vs. Texans
The Chiefs covered their last three real games of the season before the Broncos game and they covered the spread when they faced off against the Texans when they beat them 27-19 this season. Plus, Taylor Swift will be at the game and in games she has attended the Chiefs are 16-3 SU and 11-7-1 ATS. So I am taking the Chiefs to blow out the Texans here and cover this spread.
