The Pittsburgh Steelers are in first place…. for draft order.

We all knew this was going to be a transitional season for the Steelers. No big Ben, a fight between Trubisky and Rookie Pickett. But did anyone see a 1-4 record? Let alone UGLY showings amounting to the 1-4 record.

Mike Tomlin is most likely in the midst of his first losing season as an NFL head coach. So far, this season has been capped by an awful performance against the Buffalo Bills.

The thing that makes this season burn even more is the defense and the fact that the Steelers have the highest paid defense in the league.

This past game the defense gave up a total of 11 plays of 20 yards or more to the Bills. That is the most of any team this season, with the second highest being 8.

It’s just simply unacceptable for a defensive squad to continuously give up 20+ points, despite the loss against the Patriots, and be a main factor in the four straight losses.

Yes of course, the main star of the defense T.J. Watt has been injured since the OT win against the Bengals, but that shouldn’t be any reason or an excuse for them to go out and preform like this.
