One former Knick doesn’t seem too happy with how the current Knicks are handling Kemba Walker.
After the veteran point guard did not play at all in Tuesday’s loss to the Warriors, despite New York being down three players due to health and safety protocols, Jamal Crawford took to Twitter to express his frustration with Walker’s lack of playing time, which has been completely absent since being removed from the rotation last month.

“Can’t lie, I hate seeing Kemba just sitting there,” Crawford tweeted Tuesday night, as the Knicks were on their way to another loss. “Low key disrespectful.”
Walker hasn’t played in eight games since head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters that he would no longer be a part of the team’s rotation. The decision seemed justified, as Walker was a defensive liability and was leading a starting five that at the time was among the least productive in NBA history. In 18 games played, Walker is averaging 11.7 points per game, shooting 43 percent from the field and 41 percent from downtown.
Walker’s arrival to New York was celebrated as a home coming for the Bronx native, but that quickly soured with Walker being left on the bench while the Knicks deal with multiple COVID-19 cases. Since Walker’s benching, the Knicks have lost seven out of eight games, making it harder to justify his continued exile, and Crawford clearly thinks it is the wrong decision from Thibodeau.
