DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Giants fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett on Nov. 23, but he might become a head coach again.
According to Steve Wiseman of the News and Observer, Garrett is a candidate for the head coaching job at Duke. The report also includes Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott and Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko as targets.
Cowboys senior defensive assistant George Edwards was also connected to the job in a report Tuesday.
The Blue Devils moved on from David Cutcliffe after 14 seasons on Nov. 28. Cutcliffe went 77-97 with six bowl appearances.
Garrett was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys for nine seasons until his contract wasn't renewed in 2019. He was in the middle of his second season with the Giants until his firing last month.
The 55-year-old has never coached collegiately.
