ESPN reporter Adam Schefter was under fire on Wednesday after it was revealed he emailed former Washington Football Team executive Bruce Allen a full story asking him for any edits he should make.

Schefter released a statement saying he should not have done that, and was only seeking clarification to make sure his facts were right in the story about the 2011 collective bargaining agreement.

Yet, criticism toward Schefter was not limited to this one instance.

Former Jets host Jennifer Sterger also weighed in on Schefter’s reporting from her incident in which Brett Favre sent unwanted sexually explicit photos to her in 2010.

“A certain journalist also published a false statement from me in 2010.. saying I had ‘agreed to cooperate in the NFL investigation’ in an attempt to force my hand & bully me,” Sterger tweeted. “To which I wrote him in DMs, ‘that’s false & some sloppy bulls—t reporting.”

Schefter apparently attempted to clarify himself and sent a follow-up tweet that said, ‘Ms. Sterger says this is untrue,’ which prompted a further response from her.

“No, no.. Adam, quote me next time,” she says she messaged him.

Sterger furthered her criticism by saying, “there are journalists & there are pawns.. learn the difference when digesting any kind of media. There’s people out there doing honest work & there’s others just out doing peoples bidding.”

It is clear where Sterger believes which category Schefter belongs.
