After Jimmy Kimmel ripped Aaron Rodgers in his opening monologue of Monday night’s show, the Jets quarterback fired back during his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show to continue the bitter feud between two celebrities.
“I think it’s impressive a man who went to Arizona State and has 10 joke writers can read off a prompter,” Rodgers said, firing back at Kimmel after the show host went after Rodgers’ intelligence.
Rodgers also cleared up his comments about Kimmel and the Jeffrey Epstein list, which he said was taken out of context.
“He comes out and says I’m an overly-concussed whacko, in my opinion, because I believed there was a list and there were names on it,” Rodgers said. “I was referring to the fact that if there is a list…and there are names on it, then that would be the second time that a soft-brained, junior college student whacko…whatever else he or anyone else in the media have said about me, would be right twice.
“I totally understand how serious an accusation of pedophilia would be. For him to be upset about it, I get it. But did you watch the quote? Because that’s exactly what I said. Verbatim…I’m not stupid enough - even though you think I’m an idiot - I’m not stupid enough to accuse you of that with absolutely zero evidence. That’s ridiculous.”
Rodgers also called out the media as a whole for misinterpreting his comments last week.
“This is the game plan of the media,” Rodgers said. “They try to cancel, and it’s not just me…and if that doesn’t work, they move to name calling.
“This is their game plan. They use these words to cancel people, and they went and ran with this.”
