One of the most popular personalities at NFL Network appears set to leave the network.

According to Andrew Marchand of The New York Post, Adams is planning to depart NFL Media. Earlier this year, Adams made a point to note that her contract would conclude in May and called the future "super exciting" while speaking to Pat McAfee.

The network didn't confirm Adams' decision to move on in a statement to Marchand, but presumably an announcement will be made in the coming days, perhaps on "Good Morning Football" itself. But given that the month ends on Sunday, it's fair to wonder if this will be Adams' final week on the show.

Adams, 36, has developed into a superstar since becoming one of the four hosts of "Good Morning Football" at its inception in August of 2016. It's unclear why NFL Network isn't retaining her; whether it came down to money, a disinterest in continuing to work the hours that come with a morning show or some combination.

Among the four original hosts of the show, Adams will join Nate Burleson as those who have departed what's been a massive success in terms of ratings and critical reception. Burleson departed NFL Network for CBS Mornings prior to the 2021 season. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt still remain on the show.

Marchand mentioned Rachel Bonnetta as a potential replacement. From here, Colleen Wolfe -- who hosts "Good Morning Football: Weekend and did host the network's Thursday Night Football pregame show -- would be a great pick, if interested.

Per Marchand, Adams may become the pregame host of Thursday Night Football, which is moving from FOX/NFL Network to Amazon Prime Video in 2022. While Amazon has lured both Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit to their coverage already, it's unclear exactly how many people will watch Thursday Night Football on a consistent basis now that it's left the traditional three-letter television networks.
