Sunday was a day to forget for the Lions.

Things started brutally and never got better for Detroit, who still sits comfortably atop the NFC North after losing 38-6 at Baltimore.

The Lions dug a huge hole early on, allowing the Ravens to score on each of their first four possessions, racking up 315 yards of offense along the way.

With a 14-0 deficit, the Lions (5-2) trailed after the first quarter for the first time this season and that lead swelled to 28-0 by halftime, failing to capitalize on a trip deep into Ravens territory, with penalties forcing them into a punt.

The Lions’ defense couldn’t contain Lamar Jackson, who threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns, while adding a score and 38 yards on the ground.

Detroit gave up a season-high 503 yards of total offense, nearly as much as they allowed in the previous two games against Tampa Bay and Carolina combined.

Detroit’s lone score of the game came on Jahmyr Gibbs’ first career NFL touchdown, a 21-yard scamper on a pitch to cut the deficit to 35-6.

Gibbs finished with 68 yards on 11 carries, with running mate David Montgomery missing out through injury. Jared Goff had 284 yards on 33-for-53 passing with an interception.

Detroit's injury woes kept piling up, as Kalif Raymond, Mohamed Ibrahim, Kerby Joseph and Malcolm Rodriguez all suffered injuries.

The Lions have an extra day of rest and preparation, as they host the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football on Oct. 30.
