Former Pro Bowl tight end Martellus Bennett took aim at Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer on social media on Thursday, in the wake of Meyer apologizing to his team.

Bennett, who last played in 2017, called for the embattled coach to be suspended after he declined to fly home with his players following the Jaguars' loss to the Bengals, and was later seen on video dancing suggestively with a woman other than his wife at an Ohio bar.
"Urban Meyer has never been held accountable for his actions," Bennett said. "Florida or Ohio State and probably won't be by the NFL. Definitely hsould be suspended for 'conduct detrimental' to the good of the team. A player would be."
Bennett, 34, then suggested there's a double standard for players and coaches when it comes to compromising situations like Meyer's. He also claimed he saw coaches competing with players for the same women, and behaving jealously when they lost.
"Here's a coach that's 0-4 in a bar after a loss getting a lap dance," he continued. "You know how crazy the sports world be going if that was one of the players. This coach is not focused on winning. His mind is elsewhere."
Bennett, who was drafted by the Cowboys and later played for the Bears, Giants and Patriots, also ripped Meyer for signing "old ass" Tim Tebow, who was released late in training camp after an underwhelming tryout.
The 2014 Pro Bowler's criticisms came a day after Ravens safety Marlon Humphrey appeared to rally to Meyer's defense, suggesting Meyer's critics were rooting for him to fail.
The Meyer incident comes with the 0-4 Jaguars having lost 20 consecutive games dating back to last season. Another defeat would tie the NFL record.
Meyer's debut season in the NFL has been marred by a series of mistakes and setbacks.
This week Meyer apologized to his team for acting like "an a--hole idiot." Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence let him off the hook, while owner Shad Khad indicated Meyer would need to earn back the organization's trust.
But, according to Bennett, it's not enough.
