Matt Harvey is back at Citi Field today for the first time since the Mets traded him away in May. Before the Mets and Reds play tonight, the Mets will honor Harvey with a video tribute for his five-plus years there. Harvey spoke to the media Monday about his return.

"There's a lot of things I wish I obviously hadn't done," Harvey said Monday night in the visitors dugout at Citi Field. "When injuries kind of took a toll on me and I wasn't able to do my job the way I wanted to, I made a lot of mistakes."

Harvey pointed to injuries multiple times as a reason for some of his struggles.

"I always wanted to win here and I always wanted to bring 2013 every single year," Harvey said. "I think with those injuries it just wasn't quite possible at the time. You know, it sucked. It was not something I wanted. Obviously, getting to the World Series and all of that. My whole goal was to win and get back every year. Like I said, the injuries just didn't let that happen."

Harvey knows that he probably won't get a ton of cheers when they show the video tribute tonight.

"I can understand that there will be some boos. … I do want everybody to know that I do regret mistakes I made. But I did put my heart in to this organization."
