According to former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden, the Steelers are “very close to landing a significant playmaker.”
McFadden sent out the tweet, causing a firestorm on the “X” platform Monday afternoon.
McFadden, now with CBS Sports, confirmed to 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi that the deal is not for his cousin, cornerback Patrick Peterson.
To add fuel to the fire, Antonio Brown’s CTESPN Network on “X” says “Hearing a big name WR trade to the Steelers is close to done.”
The tweet from CTESPN game 15 minutes after McFadden’s tweet.
General Manager Omar Khan said that restructuring linebacker Alex Highsmith’s could lead to landing another player.
It looks like the move will be a big-time wide receiver.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
