Monday night’s NBA action presents some excellent value for player props, especially with the surging Cleveland Cavaliers facing the Chicago Bulls. Darius Garland and Evan Mobley have both been integral to Cleveland’s impressive 11-0 start, and they’re well-positioned to thrive in this fast-paced matchup. With Garland facing a Bulls team that struggles to contain point guards, and Mobley up against a defense that has allowed the most points to opposing power forwards, these props offer strong value. Here's why I'm backing Garland to exceed 6.5 assists and Mobley to score over 16.5 points.
Cavaliers PG Darius Garland Over 6.5 Assists vs. Bulls (-129, BetRivers)
The Cavaliers are off to a perfect 11-0 start and Garland has been a major part of that early success, averaging 20.5 points and 6.6 assists per game. He’s gone over this assists mark in three of his last five starts, averaging 7.8 dimes on 11.6 potential helpers in that span. The Bulls have allowed 12.2 assists per game to the opposing point guard position this season (most in the NBA), play at the fastest pace in the Association, rank in the bottom half of the league in Defensive Rating and have allowed the most points in the paint per game, which are obviously the highest-percentage shots possible. I expect him to record seven or more dimes in this matchup and atmosphere.
Cavaliers PF Evan Mobley Over 16.5 Points vs. Bulls (-124, BetRivers)
Mobley has averaged 18.4 points per game this year and the Bulls have allowed an NBA-high 28.6 points per game to opposing power forwards, which puts him in a fantastic spot to produce in the scoring column. With 23 points in back-to-back games coming into this contest, Mobley has been very efficient this year, shooting 55.9% from the field on a career-high 13.2 field goal attempts per contest. Due to Cleveland’s early-season dominance, his minutes have also been limited, which makes his numbers even more impressive. Per 75 possessions, Mobley has averaged 22.1 points on a 61.6% True Shooting mark with 10.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.2 blocks. Per @georgemikan on X, in NBA history, there have only been 38 seasons of a player averaging 22/10/3/2 per 75 and 34 resulted in an All-NBA selection and 10 of the 11 players to do it are current or future Hall of Famers!
