NBA All-Star weekend was a star-studded affair as usual, but this year's installment was especially notable due to the presence of many of the game's icons of yesteryear to mark the 75th Anniversary Team.
While the honorees were announced back in October 2021, a televised event during All-Star festivities brought the interesting concept back into the spotlight.
Of course, along with celebration for those who were honored came debate among journalists and fans -- about who wasn't honored but perhaps should have been.
The active players topping many snub lists published on social media were Dwight Howard, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Among retired players, many users took exception to the absence of Pau Gasol, Tracy McGrady, Alex English, Dikembo Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Chris Webber, Chris Bosh, Vince Carter, and longtime Spurs stars Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.
It seemed the top candidates many were willing to remove from their personal lists were Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and Carmelo Anthony.
Here's a selection of interesting takes from Twitter:

It's absolutely disgusting that Artis Gilmore, Alex English, and Bob Lanier are not on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

Lol this NBA 75 tribute before the guards just showed highlights of Vince Carter, one the biggest snub on the list.
