ESPN is reporting that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been fined for wearing an Apple Watch on the sidelines during the Steelers Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Roethlisberger, who did not play in Monday night’s game due to undergoing elbow surgery from an
injury during the September 15th game against Seattle, was fined $5,000 for a uniform violation.

October 6, 2019 ESPN reports that Ben is “livid” over the fine, was not told that the watch would be a violation, and will appeal the fine.
The NFL rules ban any electric device that can transmit messages.
