Last week, ESPN reported that Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones had taken up yoga as part of his offseason workout regimen to stay in shape as he shifts from defensive tackle to defensive end.
So what better time to show the fans his new routine than on the sidelines of a preseason game?
Jones had just come out of the game when NFL Network’s Kay Adams started asking him about his yoga and then offered to do some with him.

Jones was a little shocked that she wanted to do it right now, but he decided to go ahead and do some downward dog to show everyone what he’s been doing to stay flexible.
In the ESPN interview, Jones said he usually does yoga three times a week.
“I can do some positions I never thought I could do,” he said. “It was fun. I usually do Pilates during the offseason, but I started a little earlier this year for my flexibility. Bending on the edge is a little different than taking the turn [inside] so I wanted to be a little more flexible.”
However, Jones was not quite doing the full downward dog, as Adams pointed out. But he said he “doesn’t like being in air like that” so does it his way.
Hey, it’s certainly one way to make the preseason football broadcasts a little more unique and entertaining.
