Jerry Jones responds to Mike McCarthy job status questions after Lions loss

The Dallas Cowboys are now sitting at 3-3 after a blowout loss to the Detroit Lions at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

However, following the loss, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was quick to dismiss any notions that he was considering a coaching change.

"I'm not considering that," Jones told Jon Machota of The Athletic when asked about any potential changes.

Jones made the comment following the single worst loss of the Cowboys season, with the Lions outscoring the Lions 47-6 after an opening drive Dallas field goal.

The Cowboys were also out gained offensively 492-251, with much of that Dallas production coming well after the game was already far out of reach.

Dallas is also 0-3 at home so far this season, and have lost their last four at AT&T Stadium dating back to their embarrassing 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in last year's Wild Card playoff round.

They have lost those four games by an average of 20.75 points.

The Cowboys now head into the bye week looking for answers, with arguably the NFL's best team in the San Francisco 49ers coming up the following week.
