The hot seat may be getting uncomfortably warm for at least two NFL head coaches after just two weeks of regular-season action.

NBC Sports NFL insider Peter King, in his weekly column "Football Morning in America," says Panthers head coach Matt Rhule and Colts head coach Frank Reich are likely "very nervous" with both of their teams winless through Week 2.

The Panthers, under their third-year head coach, lost to the Browns and backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett at home in Week 1, then got edged out by the Giants on the road on Sunday.

The Colts, who were supposed to contend for the division in the AFC South, tied the rebuilding Texans in Week 1 and then got shut out by the Jaguars on Sunday.

Social media was none too kind to either embattled head coach. The Colts' dud in Jacksonville prompted "fire Reich" to trend on social media on Sunday, while Panthers fans were using the hashtag #RhuleOut on Twitter.

More was expected from both Rhule and Reich after some offseason retooling. The Panthers brought in Baker Mayfield to start at quarterback, while the Colts jettisoned Carson Wentz in favor of Matt Ryan.

However, neither Mayfield nor Ryan has been particularly impressive in the early going.

For King, the Colts' slow start is particularly disappointing. The longtime NFL scribed dubbed Sunday's defeat "the most embarrassing" for the franchise under the leadership of Reich and GM Chris Ballard.

"They just aren't the good," King wrote in his weekly column, "Football Morning in America."

Reich, after losing to Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson, who was Reich's boss with the Eagles, didn't sugarcoat the loss either, calling it a "pathetic performance."

Meanwhile longtime Colts reporter Stephen Holder of The Athletic said the Colts' first half was "one of the worst" he'd seen in a decade of covering the team.
