Eagles dominate Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX in shocking fashion, completely dominating the game from start to finish in one of the best performances by a Philadelphia sports team ever winning 40-22.

Overall, Philadelphia allowed just 275 total yards to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (a lot coming in garbage time) while sacking him six times and forcing two interceptions, including a game-changing pick six by Eagles' rookie Cooper DeJean in the first half. The Eagles also got a game-sealing strip sack by Milton Williams.

Williams had 2.0 sacks in the game. Josh Sweat led the Eagles with 2.5 sacks.

Vic Fangio, amazingly, did not dial up one blitz in the game. Mahomes finished 21-32 for 257 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT and a fumble lost in one of his worst games ever. Mahomes threw a 50-yard touchdown to pad his stats late in the fourth quarter.

Jalen Hurts was brilliant completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, plus another 72 rushing yards and a tush push score.

DeVonta Smith caught a 46-yard game-clinching touchdown late in the third quarter to make it 34-0 Eagles.

Jake Elliott was 4-4 on field goal attempts, including a 50-yarder.
