The New Orleans Saints opened their 2021 season on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, but not the way anyone anticipated.
Due to Hurricane Ida, the Saints were unable to welcome their fans back into the Superdome and instead were relocated to a neutral field in Jacksonville where they will kick off the season.
Despite not being under the dome with the raucous Who Dat Nation fans in the seats, TIAA Bank Field was still transformed to look as much as a Saints game as possible.
The team’s logo was installed at midfield as well as the name in each end zone while black, gold and white banners hung around the teal-blue stadium to give it as much of a home feel as possible for the Saints.
