Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. told CBS Sports' Josina Anderson that he will be flying into New York on Monday to meet with the Jets in another sign that he will wind up with Gang Green.
Beckham has been linked to the Jets for much of the offseason, particularly after Aaron Rodgers reportedly spoke highly of him when meeting with the team in California. Rodgers denied reports that he had given the Jets a list of players he wanted them to add on offense, but did speak highly of Beckham as a player.
Beckham did not play all of last season due to a torn ACL, though he did meet with teams before deciding to wait to go back through free agency this offseason. He met informally with the Jets at the NFL owners meetings last month.
Beckham had been reportedly waiting to see how the Aaron Rodgers saga pans out, but with signs pointing towards a deal eventually getting done with the Jets and the future Hall of Famer, Beckham may be inching closer to joining New York as well.
According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, the meeting is also expected to include a physical.
