Tennessee landed at #9 and will travel for a first round College Football Playoff matchup against the #8 Ohio State Buckeyes. Memphis was listed at #25 in the final overall CFB Playoff rankings.

The #9 Tennessee Volunteers vs. #8 Ohio State will play their opening round game on Saturday, December 21st, live at 7:00 p.m. (pregame at 5:00 p.m.) on 790 The Bet in Memphis. #25 Memphis will play the West Virginia Mountaineers on Tuesday, December 17th, at 8:00 p.m. live on 92.9 FM ESPN.

Tigers Remain Ranked in All Three Polls

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the second-straight week, the University of Memphis football team remained ranked in all three major polls on Sunday morning.

The Tigers cracked the College Football Playoff Top 25 for the second week in a row, remaining at No. 25 after appearing in the CFP Rankings for first time since 2019 last week.

Memphis remained at No. 25 in the AP Poll Top 25 with 132 votes. It marked the second-straight week in the poll after entering the AP rankings for the first time since 2020 a week ago. The Tigers earned 11 more votes than a week ago.

The Tigers received 166 points in the Coaches Poll, moving up a spot to No. 23 to match their highest ranking of the season after also reaching No. 23 in the Sept. 15 edition of the Coaches Poll.

Memphis (10-2, 6-2 AAC) will play West Virginia (6-6, 5-4 Big 12) on Dec. 17 in Frisco, Texas, in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl at Toyota Stadium.
