The No. 3 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes won a defensive showdown over No. 6 Penn State on Saturday afternoon 20-12, behind a blistering defensive effort from the Scarlett and Gray.

Penn State converted a single third down on the day, on their final drive of the game, while being held to under 250 total yards of offense. Star quarterback and Northeast Ohio native, Drew Allar felt the pressure all afternoon, completing just 43-percent of his passes on the day for 191 yards and one touchdown.

While it also tough sledding for the Buckeyes offense against an equally stout Penn State defense, Ohio State used a first half, Miyan Williams touchdown and a couple of Jayden Fielding field goals to build an early lead. Late in the fourth quarter, an 18-yard Marvin Harrison Jr. touchdown reception sealed the deal for the Bucks.

In the aftermath of Ohio State's 20-12 win over Penn State comes the pilot episode of Sons of The Shoe! Nick Wilson and Spencer German break down everything they saw in the Buckeyes win over Penn State and what the grind-it-out win means for Ohio State moving forward. The guys discuss why this game became the story of two coaches on very different trajectories, plus Nick shares the one reason you can't trust Penn State. Later, Spencer has to capitulate for his very wrong prediction after saying Penn State would win by double-digits. Then the guys unveil the "Michigan Panic Meter."
