The Dolphins and Patriots completed a rare trade among AFC East rivals Saturday, with Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reporting that wide receiver DeVante Parker is heading from Miami to New England.
Rapoport adds that the Patriots will send a 2023 third-round pick to the Dolphins, while acquiring Parker and a 2023 fifth-round pick.

A first-round pick in 2015 out of Louisville, injuries and inconsistent quarterback play have kept Parker from reaching his potential on a regular basis in Miami. However, we got a glimpse into just how good Parker can be in 2019, when he caught 72 passes for 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns.
Parker, 29, will join an offense led by second-year quarterback Mac Jones, who also has Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne, Jakobi Meyers, Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith at his disposal.
Of course, Parker became expendable to the Dolphins once they acquired three-time All-Pro Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs. Hill will join Jaylen Waddle -- who had 104 catches in his rookie season -- to form one of the most dangerous wide receiving duos in the NFL.
