Showtime directed streaming customers to refund information on Sunday night, after viewers reported widespread outages during the Logan Paul-Floyd Mayweather exhibition.
Users took to social media to vent their frustration after they were apparently unable to watch the bizarre circus-like bout, which pitted the undefeated 44-year-old boxing legend, who announced his retirement from competitive fighting in 2017, against Paul, a popular YouTube personality.

Despite the hype leading up to the matchup, the fight itself was a relatively ho-hum affair, with Mayweather's patented defensive style proving too deft and nuanced for the much bigger Paul. They went the distance in the eight-round fight, held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, spending much of the night tied up.
Mayweather, perhaps saying the quiet part out loud, had touted the seeming mismatch against a vlogger as a "legalized bank robbery."
Pay-per-view broadcasts have been notoriously dodgy throughout the years, with several carriers offering partial or full refunds on anticipated on events. The highly anticipated 2015 bout between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao was even famously delayed on the night of the fight as cable operators scrambled to address widespread outages.
Showtime said those who purchased the pay-per-view event and were unable to watch it could request a refund online.
