The Philadelphia Eagles acquire quarterback Kenny Pickett from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a pick swap, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Steelers get pick No. 98 (third round) in the 2024 NFL Draft and two 2025 7th-round picks, while the Eagles get Pickett and pick No. 120 (fourth round) in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Pickett, 25, will backup Jalen Hurts ending the Justin Fields speculation in Philadelphia.
Pickett was the Steelers' 20th overall pick in 2022 out of the University of Pittsburgh.
Pickett is a Ocean Township, NJ native and played his high school ball at Ocean Township High School before attending the University of Pittsburgh.
Pickett is 14-10 in 24 starts over two seasons with the Steelers throwing just 13 total touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Pittsburgh signed Russell Wilson this offseason to replace Pickett.
Pickett reportedly was not a fan of the Wilson addition.
Pickett is on his rookie deal and has a base salary of less than $1 million in 2024 and a base salary of $2.6 million in 2025. His cap hits over the next two seasons are $1.98 million and $2.6 million, respectively.
