Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro pass rusher Haason Reddick says he never requested a trade and wants an extension to remain with the team.

“I would like to get an extension done here at home. At no point did I ever tell the organization I want to be traded," Reddick said via B/R Jordan Schultz. "This is home for me. I was born and raised here. Two of the most fun years playing football in my life came here. I’ve cherished being an Eagle.”

Reddick posted on X as well.

Schultz added that the Eagles are aware Reddick needs a new deal and informed his camp that they could explore trade options, if they'd like to do so.

Hugh Douglas and Joe Giglio reacted to the news live on the air during Tuesday's 94WIP Midday Show.

"Here's the reality, if he finds the money he wants, he's out," Giglio said.

"There is going to be a pretty decent market for Haason Reddick's services. So if I wanted him to be here, why would I give him the opportunity?" Douglas wondered.

Just about five hours before Super Bowl LVIII began, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Reddick, the Eagles' top pass rusher, has received permission to seek a trade and "could land elsewhere."

Mike Garafolo added that Reddick is seeking a "big payday somewhere."

Reddick, 29, is entering the final year of his contract, a three-year, $45 million deal he signed with his hometown Philadelphia Eagles in March of 2022. He has no guaranteed money remaining on his current deal.

The Camden, NJ native had a career-high 16.0 sacks in 2022 and five forced fumbles, plus another 11.0 sacks in 2023. Reddick added 3.5 sacks in three playoff games during the Eagles' run to the Super Bowl last year.
