On Monday, Steelers Super Bowl Champion Bryant McFadden tweeted that the Steelers were “close to landing a significant playmaker.”
On Wednesday, we learned just a little bit more about who that player could be.
93.7 The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi talked to the former cornerback privately for a few minutes on the phone and learned that the wide receiver McFadden is referring to is a player on a current roster, meaning to acquire him, it would take a trade.

Although Odell Beckham Jr. is available, he wouldn’t be who McFadden is talking about since he is a free agent and the 93.7 The Fan host believes Beckham would be a last resort for the Steelers.
The good news, while we may be impatient, McFadden told Fillipponi he doesn’t believe his report is dead yet.
